Did you know we receive 11 million bits of information per second, but we can only process 16 to 14 bits? Now I'm a qualitative researcher, not a numbers person, but even I can see these numbers don't add up! So what happens to all those other bits of information that we can't consciously process?

They end up being dealt with by our subconscious, that uses shortcuts to quickly process this overwhelming amount of information.  It's a vert efficient system but it's not very effective because it's a breading grown from unconscious biases - and that's the topic of today's podcast.

Specifically I talk about three different yet common unconscious biases, one that I have only just come to realise is one I need to watch out for. I share with you examples of how and where they may show up and I give you practical tips to help overcome them.

If you'd like to know more about unconscious biases, how they show up in the workplace and how to overcome them, I have the perfect FREE resource for you, just click on this link to access The Diversity Doctor's A-Z Guide to Workplace Biases until next week my friend.
